Texas State University taps Satterfield & Pontikes for campus project

Texas State University System officials have selected the San Antonio office of Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. to serve as the construction manager for a $9.3 million project at the Texas State campus.

The company will be responsible for renovating, remodeling and selectively demolishing 37,500 square feet of the psychology building.

Work will include major modifications to the HVAC, electrical, plumbing and telecommunications systems within the building. The company will also work on classrooms, research labs and offices. The building also will be updated for code compliance issues.

Randall Scott Architects is providing design and architectural services. Pre-construction activities are underway. Construction should begin next spring.

Houston-based Satterfield & Pontikes is a general contractor and construction manager. The company has an office in San Antonio.
